Introduction: Herbert Hoover was the 31st President of the United States. He was President during one of the most difficult economical times in America’s history- the Great Depression. He served as President from 1929-1933. Herbert Hoover carried our nation through a very difficult time. This is no simple feat and he should be rememebered for his accomplishments. Task: For this assignment, you need to choose one of two things. You can either pick a year of his Presidency, or you can choose one major event that happened during his Presidency. Once you have decided, you will write three excerpts from his personal journal. You may also write three letters to a friend of his about this year or event.

You will also have a better understanding of the struggles her faced, serving during the Great Depression.
